Computer Operators Complain of Low Patronage

OMULA EMMANUEL

Computer operators at Benue State University have complained of low patronage from students. One of the operators Sani Ibrahim said students now type their assignments using their laptop, or their friends’ laptop. This was not the case before. He said is only few students that now type and print assignments with them. “It is worse now because students even type their project and dissertations themselves”, said Otakanchi Boniface a computer operator.
A student who spoke on the ground of anonymity says students type their assignments and projects because most of the students are Benue indigenes, and most of their parents are civil servants whose salaries don’t come regularly.
According to him allowances from parents have reduced greatly. To cope with the economic realities students have to type their assignments and even projects.
